All Deck Completion Combat Experience
Recently obsessed with Balatro, after two months of intensive gameplay, I finally completed all decks at all difficulty levels. Next I plan to clear all challenge modes as well - let me first organize the experience from this period.
Red and Blue decks remain extremely challenging at Orange and Gold stake levels, often requiring dozens of attempts before achieving victory. Especially during Orange and Gold stakes at Antes 7-8, frequently encountering oversized blinds makes the situation exceptionally difficult.
Early Game Construction and Decision-Making
Must always remember that this game is fundamentally probability-based with skill as secondary. You must establish 80%+ win probability within the first three antes, otherwise abandon the run decisively to avoid wasting time after Blinds 6-8. Victory depends on fundamentals and special Joker combinations - if you don't get suitable combinations early, recommend direct restart.
Regarding fundamentals, decks like Abandoned are easiest to build foundation. Each new game start by observing face card and Ace quantities - over 20 gives significant advantage, 25+ is basically secured. Jokers and Planet cards should coordinate around Four of a Kind and Five of a Kind. Other decks rely on 6-8 Tarot cards from the first four antes for adjustment and formation.
Importance of Special Joker Combinations
Whether you can draw special Joker combinations in the first six rounds is extremely crucial. If you fail to form compound-interest type Joker combinations (those that continuously strengthen through multiplier improvements each round), recommend direct restart. If combinations haven't formed after six rounds, win probability is extremely low and not worth continued time investment.
Relatively stable Joker combinations include: Midas Mask (add gold) paired with Vampire (remove gold), easily stacking X10+ high multipliers within several rounds. Whether you have Blueprint matters little - Four of a Kind or Five of a Kind upgraded to level 3+ can basically guarantee completion.
Die is my personal favorite - basically guaranteed victory when drawn. Die can not only clear solo, but paired with Spectral cards or copy Jokers for additional copies provides even more security for completion.
